The donations of our selfless contributors could not be dispensed without the unbridled efforts of our dear volunteers. The volunteers of DPCA are university students in Karachi, Pakistan, at Dow International Medical College and compose the student body of DPCA in its entirety. These determined students participate in so-called "shifts," in which a volunteer takes the time to meet with needy patients and evaluate their circumstance before issuing the appropriate payment directly to the hospital with a non-refundable receipt. Additionally, volunteers may choose to participate in the logistical side of the organization which includes the student administrative body.

The procedure for sign-ups varies depending on the presidential cycle for which there is an election on a yearly basis. Currently, general members, who may participate in the non-administrative teams of DPCA may register using the Google Form, at any time. Applications for sub-executive roles are accepted according to the discretion of the respective student executive official of that committee. Executive positions are obtained on yearly election basis.
